About Us

Well, for the most part we’re just nice ordinary people conducting our business of taking care of your dogs business in a friendly way. We know there’s not much to it…they drop it, we scoop it, so we try to do a little extra as we go.

Some promises to you:
We are going to notify you when we are on our way. We are going to show up with freshly sanitized shoes and equipment. We are going to be dressed in professional uniforms. We are going to scoop your yard even better than if it was our own. We are going to double check your gate is latched and locked before we drive away. We are going to be your second set of eyes while we’re at your property, so you don’t have to worry that handing the crap off to us means you might miss something important.

We treat your place like our own. If we see an empty can out by the street after pickup, we’ll bring it in. If a package has been left out and there’s somewhere safer to put it, we’ll move it and let you know. If your fence or gate are showing new signs of wear? We’ll snap an extra picture and include it in your Scoop Summary. And if there’s anything specific you’d like us to keep an eye out for, just let us know. We want you to feel comfortable handing your yard over into our care.

But exactly who are we?

I’m Atlas, and that’s my beautiful partner in crime and doody, Talia. I have over 20 years experience in pet care, starting back in high school with a pet sitting business that I had throughout my 20’s. I have over 13 years experience dog grooming, both commercially and in the veterinary field. And while working at the vet, I cross trained and also spent two years as a tech assistant, because why not? I’m currently studying to get my Associate Wildlife Rehabilitator certification and would eventually love to open a rehab and sanctuary for animals in need.

I started Doody Snatchers because even though my body has told me it’s had enough grooming, I still wanted to remain in the pet care world. I’ve also been feeling the weight of our impact on our planet, so finding something that was eco-centered and such a huge benefit to her felt like a no-brainer. And hey, if the answer also just so happens to relieve dog owners of what is arguably the most disliked aspect of having a dog, quite literally everyone is winning! Which makes me a happy guy.

We shop local and small whenever possible, and when it’s not, we do our best to buy directly from the companies that make what we’re buying. We want to keep our community’s hard earned money right here in the community as much as possible, and out of the pockets of mega-corporations known for harming communities and the planet, and ultimately the One Percent. Instead, you’ll be fueling a local business that gives back and truly cares; and when you support us, odds are your dollars are also supporting another one of your neighbors, too. We also donate a portion of our profits each year to Greenhill Humane Society and other local rescues to help connect loving homes to animals in need.

When we aren’t scooping, working on doody business behind the scenes, or wandering awkwardly around the Saturday Market, we love to travel and experience other cultures. But in all likelihood we’re probably hanging out at home with our furbabies!

I sincerely thank you for considering our small family business and look forward to taking the crap off your hands!
